Leather Finishes
Heritage Leather
Aniline dye, which penetrates the hide, ensures the leather will have a soft and luxurious feel. Aniline dyed leather shows the natural grains and marks of the hide. Only the highest quality hides, approximately 5 percent, can be aniline dyed. Our leather is topped with a clear coating that protects against UV rays, ensuring a rich patina develops over time.
V1™ Vegetable-Tanned Leather
Maria Yee’s V1™ vegetable-tanned leather uses tannins extracted from tree bark and other plant materials to convert rawhide into leather. It is also finished with aniline dye, allowing the natural characteristics of the hide to show through. Each piece has a unique look and luxurious feel.
